How you can Store Chocolate Mousse Cake to Keep Fresh

Like other foods, cakes are best when they serve fresh. But sometimes you can only bake it in advance for example when you have parties or get-togethers. The baking cake requires a lot of effort, that’s why cakes demand proper storage. You can store a few cakes easily at room temperature but some delicate cakes like chocolate mousse cake need proper care and storage. Otherwise, they start to dry and sour overnight.
If you need to store cake for a short time like for a few hours or 1-2 days, it’s easier. But when you are planning to store it for longer, you need to properly freeze it. Store cakes according to their requirements to keep them fresh. A counter commercial fridge gives you an ideal refrigeration solution to store cakes. A counter commercial fridge also makes food easily accessible.
You can also store cake leftover for some time. It will not only prevent food wastage but also give you more chances to enjoy your delicious cakes without compromising on taste. But you will need to properly wrap the cake before storage.
Here is the guide to store chocolate mousse cake to keep it fresh:

1. Storing for 1 to 3 days:

If you have made a plan to eat your delicious cake for more than 1 day after baking. Then the best thing is to store it at room temperature. Put it on the counter and protect your cake from sunlight, and heat. If it is still in a bakery box and you have planned to eat it on the same day. Then you can easily store it at room temperature.

2. Using Acrylic Lid:

If your cake has an acrylic cake lid, then you can put the cake on the plate and cover it with the lid. Then place it on the countertop at room temperature. It will help you to keep your cake fresh and will prevent it from getting dry. If you cannot control sunlight in your kitchen, then you can put a towel on the cake.

3. Plastic Storage Containers:

Using plastic storage containers to store cake is also a good option. They not only help you in storing cakes but also handy for transporting cakes. And if you are running a home bakery then these plastic storage containers are really helpful. They easily fit on every type of cake i.e. round, or rectangular.

4. Don’t Store Everything in the Refrigerator:

Storing food doesn’t mean just to put it in the freezer. Some foods are not refrigerator friendly especially when it comes to cakes. Because putting everything in the refrigerator doesn’t mean that your food will remain fresh. So, don’t put every cake in the refrigerator.

5. Freezing the Cakes:

If you are planning to eat the cake for longer then, you can freeze it. As we discussed earlier, don’t refrigerate your cake but instead you can freeze it. Before serving remove it from the freezer and put it on the countertop. Freezing it might slightly change the look of the cake but it’s better than refrigerating it.
