5 Best Tools Used To Install Suspended Ceiling Tiles

If you are ever are having problems in your home and notice the ceilings have to be replaced by suspended ceiling materials then you should consider getting a new installation before anyone is harmed. A common issue is when you have no money to hire a carpenter to fix the roof by adding brand new ceiling tiles. There is a small problem that you don’t have any good nor working tools anywhere in your house to fix the damaged falling apart ceiling. Worry no more because we are going to explain to you how to fix the ceiling in no time.

1. Cordless Power Drill Machine:

First of all you’ll need a cordless power drill machine to unscrew the old corroded bolts and screws that are holding the ceiling tiles and replace them with the other brand new bolts that’ll keep them sturdy for decades. If you leave the old bolts on for a long amount of time to just stay there and corrode then they can weaken the furring supporting the ceiling tiles increasing the risks of the whole ceiling falling down causing enormous property damage to your house.

2. Measuring Tape:

You’ll also need to measure and mark the length of the old tiles with a measuring tape so that whenever you are going to buy the new tiles from the store you should always know the right length and width of the ceiling tiles. This is a very important task to measure the tiles because if you don’t do it the tiles you’ll be buying will mostly be very long or short to fit in the ceiling frame and also it would be just a huge waste of time and money for you.

3. Strong Adhesive Materials:

Now for the tiles you would need some strong adhesive material to make it stick back in the ceiling and also stay there for a long amount of time. The adhesive also has to be very strong because if it’s not the tiles can fall back to the ground again or maybe if the tiles are loosely placed in a wrong position rainwater can easily leak through them causing a major risk of flooding inside of your house.

4. Staple Gun:

If you don’t have any strong adhesive material lying around the staple gun option just works as well. The staple gun completely staples the tiles to the furring above it making it impossible for it fall down to the ground again. But after a couple of months the staple pins can get rusty or corroded so always make sure to take the old ones and staple in new ones.

5. Water Mixed With Detergent:

It is very common for old ceiling tiles to have a dusty material inside of them called asbestos. This material can be very dangerous for your lungs and can damage them severely so always proceed with caution and far away distance whenever you are handling with this situation or call an asbestos removing professional immediately if you can. So to get rid of asbestos you’ll need to spray it with water mixed with detergent to make the material all wet so it cannot get in the air damaging your lungs.
